Our Most Popular Activities:
Come join us on a Panama City walking tour and see the city with your body in motion. We start from the vibrant fish market (Mercado de Mariscos) at the edge of the ocean and close to the Cinta Costera (coastal walkway-park) with it's dramatic views towards the skyscrapers of downtown Panama City. From here we cross into nearby Casco Viejo and wander through this historic district of Panama City. UNESCO declared this area a World Heritage Site in 1997. It's filled with colonial architecture including cathedrals, churches, government buildings, plazas and restaurants. Exploring this area on foot will create vibrant and lasting memories. After leaving Casco Viejo, we make our way towards the start of the climb up Cerro Ancon (Ancon Hill). As we walk up and around the hill, you will begin to enjoy a panorama of views of Panama City, and appreciate the lush greenery with varieties of wild-life and birds. From the top, you will get a unique birds-eye view of the city not possible from anywhere else in the city. Finally we'll descend and end up at the Panama Canal Administration Building which was inaugurated in July 1914, exactly a month before the Canal itself. This is the heart of the Canal Business Zone with typical architecture and wide, palm-lined avenues. Our experienced bilingual tour-guide will give us a brief historical overview of this area before we round-off our tour. The entire walk will take between 3 and 4 hours, and we’ll be walking rain or shine.
